WP Engine Achieves AWS Marketing And Commerce Competency Status
Company Recognized by AWS for Its Proven Success Delivering Technology & Security To 70,000+ Customers Globally
AUSTIN, Texas — NOV. 29, 2017 — WP Engine, the leading WordPress digital experience platform, today announced it has become the first WordPress solution to achieve Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketing and Commerce Competency status for demonstrating technical capabilities in delivering eCommerce solutions and helping developers and marketers manage and publish WordPress digital experiences.
WP Engine leads the WordPress Web Content Management industry with the most customers within the top 100,000 highest trafficked sites, as ranked by Alexa*. Achieving the AWS Marketing and Commerce Competency distinguishes WP Engine as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has demonstrated relevant technical proficiency and proven customer success, delivering solutions seamlessly on AWS. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess deep expertise on AWS and undergo an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions.
“WP Engine is honored to be the first in WordPress to achieve the AWS Marketing and Commerce Competency,” said Lisa Box, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at WP Engine. “This distinction reinforces our strategic focus on creating the leading WordPress Digital Experience Platform that enables developers, marketers, and agencies to innovate faster, improve their brand’s online presence, leverage actionable insights and enable best-in-category integrations.”
With the Marketing and Commerce Competency, WP Engine gains access to valuable business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support benefits including preferred access to AWS Private BETAs, AWS Roadmap briefings, as well as tools, training, and services that will enable WP Engine to more efficiently build solutions for our customers on AWS.
“We produce award-winning digital experiences for organizations around the world,” said Travis Totz, Director of New Projects at Modern Tribe. “Despite each client’s unique digital needs, we know that there is no better partner than WP Engine for ensuring sites are responsive, secure and performant. We helped one client, in particular, Harvard Law School, completely redesign their site to better serve their constituents and, with WP Engine’s guidance, chose AWS for their data center based on its global reputation for flexibility, scalability, and reliability.”
Achieving this status builds on WP Engine’s ongoing relationship with AWS. Earlier this year, WP Engine expanded its global footprint with data center availability in Canada. Globally, WP Engine customers on Enterprise Cluster plans can select AWS data centers in Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, U.K. and U.S.
AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology Partners in the APN with deep industry experience and expertise.
