BrightonWP: WP Engine ‘A Game Changer For Us’

It’s no secret that the web development and design industry is crowded, particularly in Brighton. The town is filled with creative types, competing against one another to stand out from the crowd.

While BrightonWP’s heritage lies in web design, we chose to specialise in customised WordPress website builds – not only does this help us differentiate, but it also means we can be experts in what we do.

When it comes to hosting sites, we historically used one provider for hosting and another for backups – as you can imagine this quickly drained resources and incurred unnecessary costs. As we grew our client portfolio as well as the number of websites we managed and hosted, we needed to consolidate this in order to maintain a profit margin while delivering an exceptional service.

Looking back to four years ago, we managed around 20 sites – this number has now quadrupled, and we now design and develop 80 websites. As a result, we’ve switched to a dedicated server to host the websites of our many clients including Headmasters, Battersea Dogs Home, and Pure360. The personal support from WP Engine is exceptional, and we’ve had instances when the support team has gone above and beyond to diagnose any issues that arise as well as work with us until it’s rectified. While we’re a nine-to-five agency, WP Engine provides the 24/7 support to our clients when we’ve closed the doors for the evening or weekend.

Not only can we free up so much time by leaving the managed WordPress hosting side of things to WP Engine, but we can also trust that our clients’ sites are reliable.
