Since earning our first Great Place to Work^® certification in 2017, we’ve received more than 40 individual recognitions from the global authority on workplace culture, spanning various continents, specialties, and milestones.

Most recently, on May 22, WP Engine Poland was certified as a Great Place to Work, and WP Engine Ireland earned placement on the Best Workplaces in Tech list.

A globally recognized culture of excellence

Great Place to Work certifications are awarded to organizations that demonstrate high-trust, high-performing workplace cultures as measured by employee feedback provided through its proprietary Trust Index™ Survey.

Employees use the questionnaire to share their honest opinions on important areas impacting workplace culture, like leadership credibility, respect for differences, fairness in hiring and promotion, pride in their work, and camaraderie amongst team members—all of which form the foundation of the Great Place to Work Trust Model™.

Since our first certification in 2017, WP Engine has been recognized across several of our global hub locations, with honors ranging from general workplace certification to placement on specialized lists, including Best Workplaces for Caregivers, for Women, in Tech, for Health and Wellbeing, and more.

These certifications reflect our ongoing investment in fostering excellent employee experiences that center around personal and professional growth, an inclusive culture, and the individual well-being of each employee, no matter their role, region, or function.

How certification works

Each of these certifications was earned after a deep analysis of both employee feedback and a culture audit submitted by WP Engine, the results of which are benchmarked against similar-sized organizations to determine Best Workplace lists.

Employee survey

Employees complete the Trust Index™ Survey, an anonymous questionnaire designed to assess perceptions of leadership, trust in the organization, support for employees, and connectedness to company culture.

Culture audit

With their entries, companies must also submit information about organizational programs, practices, and values to help Great Place to Work understand the tangible culture efforts of each entrant.

Benchmarking and recognition

Survey and audit results are benchmarked against other certified companies, and top-performing organizations may earn additional placement on Best Workplace lists related to industry, region, or demographic focus.

Maintaining a culture of excellence
