As WP Engine continues to grow, one thing that hasn’t changed is our set of core values. These five tenets represent what we stand for, they inform our company culture, and they provide us with direction for how we’ll grow into the future. We’ve found that by staying close to these core values, we’ve been able to create an enjoyable, productive, and sustainable work environment for our employees.

Throughout the years, these values have also gone global. In 2015, we launched our first international office, establishing our European headquarters in London. The creation of that first overseas location was the beginning of what has now become a global team of WP Engine employees with a shared set of goals and values.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that WP Engine has been named the 24th Best Small Workplace in the UK by Great Place Work UK. This accolade comes on the heels of another recent honor for our London office, which was recognised as a centre for Excellence in Wellbeing by Great Place to Work back in January.

To calculate wellbeing, employees completed a survey that analysed for the six dimensions of wellbeing in the workplace: work environment, mental and physical health, financial security, interpersonal security, work-life balance, and fulfillment.

For the most recent placement on its list for SMBs, Great Place to Work used the Trust Index Survey to measure employee satisfaction in the workplace. The survey measures a company’s performance in ten areas that help create a culture where people can flourish: hiring, inspiring, speaking, listening, caring, developing, thanking, celebrating, sharing and leaving.

The survey also identifies an employee’s perception of credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie in their workplace—characteristics that make up a high-trust work environment.

“WP Engine London is a fun and dynamic place to work, built around a team which is valued very highly by the global organisation,” said Jamie Lawrence, a Partner Account Executive at WP Engine’s London office. “With fantastic camaraderie, incredible perks, and terrific growth opportunities, I count myself extremely lucky to be a part of such an awesome team, that is continuously growing and building for an exciting future!”

“My favorite thing about the London office are all the cultures that are represented here,” said Kelsey Webb, a WP Engine Marketing Specialist. “In our small office of only 33 people, we have people from 12 different countries. You’re always learning something new about a different culture- it’s really cool.”
