WP Engine Named a Great Place to Work in Ireland

Almost three years ago, WP Engine expanded its global presence and opened a second international office in Limerick, Ireland (our first was in London). Known as a city where technology and culture collide, Limerick has been the perfect location for WP Engine to grow and evolve. At its start, the Ireland office was made up of less than 10 employees. Today, it’s grown into the second largest WP Engine office in the world with a growing roster of employees who support our customers in various ways, from customer experience to engineering and beyond.

At WP Engine, we believe our culture should exemplify our core values in action. We’ve worked hard to ensure those core values are encoded into the unique culture found in all of our global offices, and we are exceedingly proud of our growth in Ireland and excited about the future.

Today, we’re also proud to announce that, for the first time ever, WP Engine’s Limerick office has been named a Great Place to Work in Ireland for Small Companies!

According to Great Place to Work, a great workplace is one where employees trust the people they work for, employees have pride in the work they do, and they enjoy the people they work with. Using employee-submitted surveys, Great Place to Work analyzed workplaces for scores in credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie; all things our Limerick employees said they found to be very much a part of the office culture in their daily work routines.

“I had never experienced a work culture as wonderful as the WP Engine culture before,” said Darren O’Dwyer, a Senior Talent Advisor at WP Engine’s Limerick office. “I love it here, the people genuinely enjoy working here, which makes the work environment a great place to be, and we have fantastic benefits. O’Dwyer added that he felt the company’s core values are lived out every day in a way that was apparent to all from giving back to the community in Limerick to being customer inspired.

“It’s very transparent,” he said. “Our CFO goes through financials on a monthly basis with the whole company, all of whom are owners, and we have charismatic leaders in the Limerick office who genuinely care about setting us up for success.”
