Teal Media created a custom theme and a large library of flexible components to help Brooklyn Org's network of nonprofits bring their stories to life. The challenge
Brooklyn Org is the first and only public philanthropy for Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Org team approached agency experts at Teal Media to build a new digital home that would attract the next generation of community supporters.
The main ask? A website that matches their mission and feels authentically “Brooklyn.”

Brooklyn is a place where neighbors support neighbors, and where equity and justice are shared commitments.
To underscore that message, Teal Media got to work building a new site that focuses on community, illustrating how the borough’s people and neighborhoods represent the very best of America.
The new website celebrates Brooklyn’s doers and dreamers, highlighting the people behind more than 100 organizations delivering essential services across 70 neighborhoods.
Brooklyn Org’s website expands the reach of these voices, stories, and messages further than they could have hoped to go alone, providing an online platform for collective storytelling, philanthropy, and fundraising.
