Last week, WP Engine employees from all over the U.S. came together at our Austin headquarters for the first biannual All-Hands event of 2019. All Hands is a two-day event in which employees from other offices and teams around the country get the chance to collaborate and strategize with one another. This year’s theme was “Boldly Go” in honor of the famous sci-fi saga Star Trek. This event agenda was full of events to help nurture growth at both the individual level as well as company-wide. Not to mention, we got to have some fun!

Events on the agenda included team lunches, information sessions, inspirational speeches, a Hackathon, advice panels, trivia, and a party. Here are some photos from this year’s All Hands activities:

People from all different areas within WP Engine teamed up for a Hackathon. Winners were awarded for being best in show, speedy, and most beneficial for customers.

Females leaders from within WP Engine participated in a panel focused on career advancement. The event was hosted by the WP Engine female empowerment group, Sheroes.

During the information sessions, WP Engine employees got to hear CEO Heather Brunner reflect on the company’s accomplishments and areas where there is room to grow in 2019.

WP Engine Founder Jason Cohen offered a parsed out perspective on our growth thus far, where we are succeeding, and why we have new priorities for 2019.

A live band performed during the company party.

Employees enjoyed a photo booth during the company party.
