Following recent accolades in the UK and Ireland, WP Engine Poland has been recognized as a Great Place to Work-certified organization by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture.

This was the first year our Kraków office, which opened its doors in 2020, was eligible for the certification. Becoming Great Place to Work-certified is a prerequisite for future placement on the organization’s Best Workplaces lists.

To become certified, members of our Poland team responded to Great Place to Work’s research-backed Trust Index survey, which gauges the level of trust employees experience in their leaders, the level of pride they have in their jobs, and the extent to which they enjoy working alongside their colleagues.

Additionally, HR and Leadership teams successfully completed Great Place to Work’s Culture Audit, which explores all of the programs and practices WP Engine has established that make our workplace unique. With this information, Great Place to Work is able to identify outstanding employers who foster a trust-based, “people-first” workplace culture for their employees.

Our team in Poland has been instrumental in the development and launch of new WP Engine products

In addition to exemplifying WP Engine’s workplace culture, the team in Poland has also played a key role in recent product growth, complementing our global teams with expertise in web application development, artificial intelligence, UX, and WordPress.

Since 2020, the team in Kraków has been instrumental in the development and launch of new WP Engine products including Smart Plugin Manager, which has been used to automatically update more than one million plugins across WP Engine customer sites, and Atlas, the complete headless WordPress Hosting Platform for transformative performance.

But, as members of the Poland team are quick to point out, growth and innovation is not only tied to workplace culture; it’s a by-product of it.

“Becoming Great Place to Work-certified is a huge validation, not only of all the hard work this team puts in every day but the way we do it,” said WP Engine Director of Engineering Zygmunt Dyras.

“Infusing everything we do through the lens of WP Engine’s core values has allowed us to create a truly unique work environment that promotes transparency and trust alongside innovation, resulting in all of the great outcomes we’ve seen in such a short period of time”

This includes emphasizing values such as credibility, fairness, respect, camaraderie, honesty, and pride, Dyras added, all of which are enshrined in WP Engine’s corporate social responsibility program, Engine for Good, as well as our company core values

While Engine for Good can be viewed as the way we bring many of our values to life, our core values truly represent WP Engine’s workplace culture and are closely aligned with Great Place to Work’s vision for trust-based, people-first organizations.

“I love working at WP Engine,’ said Product Manager Ilona Kędracka, ”The company has helped me grow in an unbelievably short amount of time, and  as someone who prefers to work from home, I also appreciate the flexibility and trust we’re given by our senior management.”

“Hands down, this is the best company I’ve ever worked for!”
