In this series, we highlight a WP Engine employee embodying those core values. ‘Where the best get better’ means that as employees we celebrate personal and company-wide successes, nourish personal growth and encourage one another to succeed. Luis Saucedo, Enterprise and Agency Sales, has grown individually during his tenor at WP Engine-in turn, he has helped WP Engine expand its global presence.

 

Personal Growth

Luis has worked in the WP Engine Sales Department for nearly 2 years. During that time he has been promoted twice. Initially, Luis worked as a Sales Development Representative, working closely with clients to answer questions via chat, phone, or other contact form channels. After three months during which he gained valuable knowledge of the sales process, technology, and company values, Luis was promoted to Account Executive.

In the Account Executive role, Luis worked with small/medium sized businesses as well as with small agencies. It was in this role that he noticed existing organic growth and additional opportunities in the Latin American market. He presented his ideas to WP Engine leadership who encouraged him to execute on his ideas while using his best judgment.

Finally, Luis was promoted to Enterprise Account Executive, where he works with the largest companies in the world, build digital relationships with some of the awarded agencies in the digital space, and continues to foster WP Engine relationships in the LatAm market.

Inspired by Leaders

Luis attributes much of his success to WP Engine leadership which has supported and encouraged him to take risks and evolve. This encouragement has inspired Luis to become a leader at WP Engine himself. He hopes to spearhead more opportunities in Latin America and grow the WP Engine LatAm team in the future.
